District Executives

The superintendents of the 35 school districts and two tribal compact schools in King and Pierce counties and Bainbridge Island are united as SAVE - Superintendents Advocating and Valuing Education. The Puget Sound Educational Service District serves as the convener of SAVE. PSESD also convenes the district executives for communications, human resources, and business and operations.

Will your child be 5 years old on or before August 31st? If so, now is the time to register for Kindergarten! Kindergarten is free and an important part of your child’s success in school and life. Kindergarten begins in late summer or early fall, depending on your school district, but it is important give yourself time to ask questions and get help with paperwork.

The Learning Communities Foundation was established in 2010 to support the work of the Puget Sound Education Service District by enhancing the quality of programs and services provided through Educare. Our Foundation serves children, youth and families in the Greater Seattle area.



Puget Sound Center for Personalized Learning (PSCPL)

Personalized Learning is tailoring learning for each student’s strengths, needs, race, culture, and interests including the student’s voice and choice in what, how, when and where they learn. This is achieved by supporting students, teachers, and families in the development of flexible and equitable learning environments to ensure mastery of the highest learning standards to reach individual student’s goals.


PSCCN (College Career Readiness)

Puget Sound College and Career Network removes barriers so that students of color, first generation, and students impacted by poverty in the Puget Sound region have the opportunity and support to access and obtain postsecondary credentials.


Puget Sound Workers' Compensation Trust & Unemployment Pool (PSWCT)

The Puget Sound Workers’ Compensation Trust and Unemployment Pool is a self-insured pool for workers’ compensation coverage and unemployment compensation.

The PSESD Safety Co-op strengthens safety services in school communities across the region through high quality training, networking, and coordination opportunities that are culturally responsive and trauma informed.

Washington Learning Source (WLS)

The Washington Learning Source carries a wide variety of discounted products that fulfill educational needs ranging from antivirus software to online writing evaluation tools. Schools save money by purchasing from the WLS–$10.5 million since 2006.


Washington Sensory Disabilities Services

Washington Sensory Disabilities Services (WSDS) supports children and youth from ages birth to 21 who are deaf or hard of hearing, blind or visually impaired, or deaf-blind by providing assessment services, training and other support to children, school districts, families and service providers. 


Washington Schools Management Pool (WSRMP)

The Washington Schools Risk Management Pool exists in partnership with its members to provide their staff and student communities a safe and protected educational environment, while protecting member financial resources.
